Here's what Sharp ye say about it;

Inferno 72 E3lite

This is constructed with epoxy and carbon and fused together to produce the E3lite range. This is lighter and more durable with improved flex properties. Great to use in weaker conditions over your PU board. This will handle all that is thrown at it.

E3-Lite Epoxy Technology

The E3-Lite epoxy glassing technology has been developed with leading composite material firms to develop custom carbon/Innegra tapes to produce incredible results with unmatched performance. E3 Epoxy tech features a super tight cell structured core, a stringer-less EPS blank, and a 4oz layer of fiberglass on the bottom combined with a custom Innegra/carbon tape. The deck is layered with SharpEye's custom triple carbon tape with a layer of Bi-axle 4oz cloth. SharpEye's commitment to innovation and constant improvement has paid off with the E3 Lite technology. Zero Compromise.

The Inferno 72 has been developed to offer proven performance in small to medium- sized conditions. A global staple, favoured by professional and everyday surfers alike, the Inferno 72 model is the must-have, tuned-up, everyday shortboard. Featuring a medium single concave that flows into a deep double between the fins. These concaves, combine with a medium entry rocker that flows seamlessly into a medium exit rocker, providing an instant burst of speed from take-off, and an exceptional balance of manoeuvrability and drive. These features integrate with a reliable, controlled medium rail, to deliver the perfect combination for everyday conditions. The Stab in the Dark winning Inferno 72's proven performance will handle just about any conditions thrown at it.

What size to ride? It's recommended to order the Inferno 72 in the same size as your go-to shortboard. Drop one inch for a step down.

Inferno 72 Stab in the Dark Winner.

The Inferno 72 is the model Sharp Eye Surfboards built for the 2021 Stab in the Dark contest. This board is an Epoxy replica of the Dark Arts Epoxy board that took the win.
The Inferno 72 was originally designed for Filipe Toledo to compete on at "The Rumble at the Ranch" competition in 2020. Filipe ended up winning the comp. When Sharpeye shaper Marcio Zouvi was approached by Stab to enter the Dark Arts edition he chose to supply the Inferno 72.
The Inferno 72 is a tuned up version of the Disco Inferno, a tried and tested QS favourite. We have added more rocker in the entry and exit for more hold through turns and drive. It’s going to surf its best in small to medium waves and just like the Disco Inferno the Inferno 72 is a performance surfboard that will handle just about all conditions thrown at it and maintain its spark.

Skill level/ Usability

The Inferno 72 has been developed for the intermediate to advanced level surfer. This board has been designed to surf well from 2-6 feet in everyday conditions from reef to point breaks.

Performance

The Inferno 72 is a tuned up version of the Disco Inferno, a tried and tested QS favourite.
With added entry and exit rocker and medium to low rails the Inferno 72 has more drive and hold through turns than the Disco Inferno. The Inferno 72 is going to surf at its best in small to medium waves. It's a performance surfboard that will handle just about all conditions thrown at it and maintain its spark.

Bottom Rocker Curve

The Inferno 72 has a medium entry rocker that seamlessly runs into a flattened exit, this creates increased speed from the take off with enough lift to avoid nose diving. The medium exit provides hold and drive when surfing off the back foot whilst allowing ease of speed generation and the ability to draw out longer lines. A perfect combination for everyday conditions.
It’s recommended to order the Inferno 72 in the same size as your go-to shortboard. Drop one inch for a step down.
